Somali Week Festival 2025!

Our flagship annual festival returns for its 17th year, running from October 16–26 under the theme “Resonate! Sounds of the Past, Voices of the Future.

This time, we’re focusing on how music, poetry, and oral traditions have shaped—and continue to shape—the Somali cultural landscape.

Festival Highlights

Performances & Showcases: Listen to powerful spoken word, traditional and contemporary music, and lively dance performances.

Literary Launches & Talks: Meet Somali authors and researchers, hear about their latest work, and join discussions on how Somali literature continues to evolve in the diaspora.

Interactive Workshops: Suitable for all ages, these sessions let you get hands-on with Somali culture, from learning basic drumming rhythms to storytelling practices.

Global Guests: Just like in previous years, we’ll welcome esteemed guests from the Somali Horn, Europe, North America, and beyond, all converging in London to celebrate art and heritage together.
